Worth checking first
My rowing machine does not appear
Nothing is filtered out of that list, so if it is not there the phone genuinely cannot see it. Wake the monitor up, check no tablet or other app is already holding the connection, and allow the Bluetooth permission. Then scan again.
Do I need a machine to try it?
No. Every mode falls back to simulated rowing, so you can look around the routes without any hardware at all. Those rows do not count towards your stats or best times.
There is nobody online
Sometimes true, and the button says so before you tap it. Pace boats are out on every route whatever the hour, and they are counted separately from real people so the number never flatters itself.
Is it really free?
The app is free, with no ads: every route, every mode and the online river. There is an optional membership at €2.99 a month or €19.99 a year, which covers the things that need a server behind them — your rowing history kept off the device, and the training plans. Nothing that was free before the membership existed moved behind it, and it never will.
How do I delete my account and data?
In the app: profile → ACCOUNT → DELETE ACCOUNT , confirmed with
a second tap. No request, no waiting. If you cannot reach the app, pick
Delete my account on the form and I will do it for you, normally within a few days
and always within 30.
What goes: your rowing history and session summaries, achievements, your
display name and country, the identifier your sign-in provider gave us, and the record of
which devices asked about your membership. The account itself stops existing.
What does not: your subscription, which you cancel in Google Play or your Apple
settings; anything you sent to Strava, which is yours to delete there; anything saved on
your own device, which goes when you clear the app's data or uninstall it; and the
server's security log, which records connection IP addresses for a limited period and
ages out on its own schedule.
Where does my message go?
My inbox, and nowhere else. No mailing list, no tracking, no third party in between. The privacy policy covers the apps themselves.
